HDFC spend-based offer | Gift vouchers replaced with Discount vouchers
A mail from HDFC Bank with a target spend offer brought a smile to a significant number of HDFC Cardholders each month. To qualify, all that the cardholder had to do was to meet the spending target as communicated in the offer mailer and get greeted with a gift voucher of their choice from a set of prominent merchants, usually Flipkart, Lifestyle, Myntra, and BigBasket.
However, those good days are gone as the exemplary HDFC spend-based offer is no longer the same. The gift vouchers have now been replaced with discount vouchers, or in layman's language, 'Coupons.'
This means that you now hold no liberty to enjoy the gift vouchers to buy whatever you want regardless of any preset minimum purchase condition. Now, on meeting the spending target, you will be given an option to choose a discount voucher from Lifestyle, Myntra, Croma, and Brand Factory, wherein you will get a discount on purchasing a product from them that too after meeting the minimum spend condition.
