The last American Express Small Shop campaign stayed active from 4th September 2020 to 30th November 2020 with a reward rate of 20%. Many complained the RR in India was not at par with similar campaigns triggered in countries like the US, UK, Australia, etc. To make things right what seemed wrong, American Express had extended the campaign till 31 December 2021 and increased the reward rate to 50%. This year, Amex has again launched the Small Shop campaign 2021 with an RR of 50%. Detail below:

    Campaign Details 

    • As part of the Small Shop Offer, Cardmembers will get Rs 500 cashback on spending Rs 1,000 or more in one transaction in-person only, up to 5 times during the campaign period.
    • Savings potential Rs 500 × 5 Times = Rs 2,500.
    • Reward Rate - 50%.

    Campaign Duration

    • The Offer is valid from 3 August 2021 until 31 October 2021.


    Campaign Conditions

    • This Offer is open to all American Express Cardmembers whose accounts are valid and in good standing.
    • The Offer is also applicable for American Express Supplementary Cards. However, the offer will have to be saved to Supplementary Cards separately.
    • Cashback should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from the offer end date 31/10/2021.
    • If your card is eligible for the Offer, you will see the Offer in the Amex Offers section in your Online Card Account. You will have to save the Offer to your Card. Only Cards on which Offer has been saved will be eligible for the Offer benefit.
