HDFC Summer Treats | Target Spend Based Promotion for July 2020

HDFC is back with its Summer Treats offer for July 2020 wherein you are entitled to get a gift voucher after you meet the spending target as mentioned in communication using your HDFC Bank Credit Card between 3rd July to 31st July 2020.

Eligible Cardholders can choose the gift voucher of their choice from the following brands:

• Flipkart

• Amazon

• BigBazaar

• BigBasket

• Myntra

In my case, the target given to me for July 2020 is 19,000 INR, which would fetch me a gift voucher worth 1,000 INR ~ a reward rate of 5.26%. I couldn't resist myself from availing it, and as I had no plans to buy anything, I ended up paying rent through Housing Mobile App that enables you to pay rent through your credit card as well, with a very nominal fee. When HDFC launched its spend based offer back in October 2019, they offered a Reward Rate of 7.7%, i.e., cardholders were given vouchers worth Rs 2000 on spends on 26000. The same Reward Rate was applicable for November 2019 offer as well. However, they reduced the RR to 5.75% (Rs 2000 voucher on spends of 35000) in their February 2020 and March 2020 spend based offer. Further, the RR for June 2020 stands at 5.5% and 5.26% for July 2020. No doubt, the Pandemic has effected us all.

Do note that this offer applies to only those cardholders who have received a mail communication from HDFC Bank. 

Also do note that:

• Vouchers will be sent to eligible customers by 31st October 2020

• This offer is valid on retail spends and on purchases made through HDFC Bank Credit Cards

• This offer is not valid on cash withdrawal and loan products like EasyEMI spends, Dial-An-EMI, Cash-on-Call, Balance Transfer, Balance Transfer on EMI, Personal Loan on Credit Card, etc.
