StanChart's Diwali Offer: 1% Cashback on Spends with SCB Credit Cards

Standard Chartered is offering 1% cashback on all your spends till December 2019 as it's Diwali offer. 

No offense, but that funny guy 'Shantinath Sul' crossed my mind when I saw StanChart's festive offer after going through AMEX's Diwali offer. If you still didn't get me, you might want to google 'Just Sul.'

On the one hand, where an internationally recognized bank is offering festive benefits of up to 6%; on the other hand, another internationally recognized bank has come up with just 1% cashback.

Year on year, Standard Chartered Bank is trying hard to decrease the benefits that it used to offer in the presiding year. If the trend continues; you might expect a 0.5% return in 2020 or better no gains whatsoever.

Detailing 1% cashback:

• Offer Period: 1 October 2019 to 31 December 2019

• You need to spend a minimum of Rs X* in October, November, and December on your SCB credit card to be eligible for an unlimited cashback of 1% on all your spends. 

• Minimum qualifier target spend. X will be communicated to individual cardholders via SMS/Mail. For me, it's 15K each month (SS below) 

• You need to mandatorily opt-in for the offer by messaging “UNLIMITED” to 57575 from your registered mobile number between 1 October to 28 October 2019

• 1% cashback isn't capped but e-wallet transactions (Paytm, Mobikwik, etc.), recharges, insurance spends, and cash withdrawals won't count

• Applicable cashback will be processed on your credit card account on or before 31 Mar 2020

If you do not possess any other credit card except the SC card; you can opt-in for this offer and start transacting. For customers like me, we will be swiping our AMEX.
